A sad day today, mi hija, Hermana De Santiago left for a different area. I will absolutely miss her, and no. Her visa still has not come. We have no idea what's happening with that. Ah well.

My new companion is Hermana Andrade, she's from Lima, Peru and she likes Mexican food. And she's been here in the mission for 4 months now. That's... about all I know about her right now. Give me a week, and then I'll be able to say a little more. haha

Martha, we moved her baptismal date for the 30th and is excited, Monica we finally got ahold of her, and she's great, but we have to move her date as well because of that black-hole era that we passed through. A mom, Marisela, and her daughter, Marisela, accepted the baptismal invitation, and that'll be in May. Please pray for all of them. Claudia it turns out has an awful lot of legal problems, which means we can't marry them, which means she can't be baptised until she figures that all out, unless she move out of her boyfriend's house, but I'm not so sure as to how willing she is to do that.

A member family, the Mendoza's baby is 4 months old today, he is adorable, we still do not have a bishop in the ward aaaand, yeah. haha That's my week. I love you all, I wish you well, and I invite you to follow the invitation from one of the Lord's apostles, Elder Ballard to invite one person every 3 months to come to church. So... if we're starting that in May you have until...the end of July to invite someone. You can do it! I invite you to commit to do you, you will be the hand of the Lord. I love you all, the church is true. =)

semana #34

Just kidding, I'm not sure which week it is, but I couldn't come up with a title... haha if y'all would like to send me title ideas, that would be really cool. Maybe I'll use them.

This week was a little crazy. It had many ups and downs. Something cool is that my companion wants to teach me how to wash all my clothes by hand every week, and today we started. I only took an hour and 12 minutes and I hope to beat my time.

We had zone conference this week. It was beautiful, but kind of sad, because it was the last zone conference that President and Sister Hall are ever going to do their whole mission here. They talked with us a lot about charity, and President went more in depth with us on Luke chapter 15. Something interesting, that I loved that he said was that the parable of the 10 drakmas, he believes represents the less-actives or inactives that there are in our wards. Because they are already inside the house (the church) and that the Lord knows the value of every one of these people and wants us to seek them until we find them, and they come back to Him. With that, I invite you all to read Luke 15, and then apply that teaching by looking for the lost drakmas in your ward or family. Invite them. Visit them. Help them to know of God's love for them, and how He misses them. Not just through your actions, but TELL THEM. I testify it's true. I believe every single less-active that I have visited thus far in my mission has needed to hear that message of the love that God has for them, and of how He is looking for them, because He knows their worth.

I sure love you all. We lost contact of Monica for a few weeks, and we were super worried, but yesterday we found her!!! Turns out she was on vacation and her husband was sick, but she's been reading her Book of Mormon and taking notes and everything! Thank you for your prayers! Have a great week!

O, ¡por fin! The Conference came! I've been waiting 6 months for the Conference, and it was finally here. What a wonderful Conference, what wonderful music, it truly was a Celestial experience that I loved very much.

This week was great (and mostly because of the title of this email). We moved houses. Mostly because the owner of our other house was trying to rob the church which is NOT cool. So we switched, and now we live on the first floor of the house of a sweet older member. I promise, we offered her the first floor, and that we'd take the second, but she told us that the second floor's her preference. But, yeah. It was a little crazy. A few members said that they'd help us move our stuff at 4:30. We were ready, with all our stuff packed up in time and waited... and waited, ...and waited. They weren't able to make it till dark, when it was time for us to be in our house. So they took what they could, and we slept on the floor on blankets. It was really fun, and we cleaned the house about 3 times over as we were waiting. haha the next day, another kind member came with his car to help us with the rest, and we get to the house, ready to just move in and organize or stuff, and find it FILTHY. I'd like to say that it is not the fault of the sweet Hermana, but of those who were renting before us. We cleaned and cleaned and cleaned, I found a cockroach that's about as big as your thumb, but now it's all clean, there's light, and the Spirit is very much there, and we love this new house. =)

This week, Hermana De Santiago and I were trying to think of creative ways to get people to come to the Conference, and we thought of making invitations, to give to people with their name on the envelope and everything to help them feel special and to help them remember the times, and to find the church. We ended up passing out 46 in one day, aaaaaaaand, one investigator came to the Conference. =( It was pretty super disappointing. But hey, now we know that invitations DO NOT work.

I loved the Conference very much. My favorite talk was that from Elder Holland. He spoke my truths that I believe my soul needed to hear. It was beautiful. I loved the Spirit that was there through the Conference. I hope you all watched it. If you haven't, you can still repent and watch it online and be Spiritually edified. I PROMISE you, that if you watch the Conference with a question in your heart, with the Spirit of Prayer, that you will find an answer from on high. It happened to me with the three questions that I brought to the Conference. You are not the exception to this promise because God loves you more that you know, or can ever know in this life, and because He is working towards your eternal success, why? Because it is His work and His glory to do so. I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I love you all. =) Please watch the Conference. Please strengthen your relationship with our Father in Heaven. He has done so much for you, and wants to do more.

Have a great week,

Hermana Larsen
