If you like to have a new area, and getting caught in the rain...
Hello Framily! Hope you're all doing so so well.
I'm doing well here in Reyes. I'm with Hna. Gomez from Chiapas, and I'm becoming more and more
grateful for how Utah's addresses are made up on a grid system. Because here is just a whole bunch
of names of people and things in Spanish... and you've just got to memorize 'em. haha So... I'm learning!
This week, I learned a lot of new names, and am trying to do my best to magnify my calling here in
Reyes. Theres a lot of work to do, and I am determined to do it! We have a lot of less-actives, so me
and Hna. Gomez are focusing on ways to encourage them to active their faith. We have an investigator
named Victor who we've been working with all week. He's really great and is really trying to find the
truth, but has been thinking that his answer from God needs to come in a dream. And no matter how
many times we've explained that it doesn`t we come for the next visit and he says that he hasn't received
that dream. Until yesterday! We had a lesson with the Bishop that went really well. The Bishop explained
to him about different ways that he's felt the Spirit in his life. We then shared Gal. 5 with Victor, where
it talks about the fruits of the Spirit, as we finished reading, he interrupted saying, "wait, wait, wait, hold
on a second... all of those that you just said, are what I've been feeling". The Bishop then explained that
those feelings are his answer from God. You could see a lightbulb going on behind his eyes, and now
we're talking about details for his baptism. =)
The only problem is that he doesn't live in this mission. So, those missionaries where he lives are about
to be very happy.
Sure love you all! Have a great week!
Hna. Gomez and I, after getting caught in the rain on Wednesday.
