Hola amigos y miembros de mi familia! Espero que tuvieron una semana increíble!
Aquí es como le fue mi semana:
We saw the Lord's hand SO MUCH this week! Let me just say that anyone who believes
in coincidences is nuts! Two or three times this week, we were just going around contacting,
or looking for someone else, and we ended up finding a less active family who were so
happy to see us and invited us into their home. Here's what happened on one of them:
So, we eat lunch every day except for Mondays with members. The different families will sign
up for when they can on a calendar that the Relief Society Secretary will pass around on
Sundays. So, I then look and what the calendar says, write it down, and then I know with
whom we are going to eat that week/month. So... last week I made a mistake. And I
that the Calendar said "Claudia", so I called the only Sister Claudia that I knew from the ward
the coordinating day, and she gave us money to go out to eat, as she always does because
she works so she can't make it for us. Then, that Sunday, a Sister came up to me, who was a
bit emotional, to let me know that she's been waiting for me that day, and that she had made
a Méxican comida for me and my companion to celebrate their Independence Day... I was
super confused, and then I realized that she is the Hermana
... and I had read it wrong
and put Claudia. So I said I was so so sorry, and asked her to forgive me. She told me not to
worry about it, but I could clearly see that I had very much offended her and I felt AWFUL. So,
my companion and I made the plan that one of the days that next coming week, we were going
to buy some flowers and gift them to her as an "I'm sorry" present. The day of, we had the
flowers, and we went to the address that I had for her. Turns out it was wrong. But we thought
that it was probably in that same apartment building. So we knocked doors, and knocked doors,
contacting as we were trying to find this member's house. And we knocked one of the doors,
and after a lot of rejection, we saw a smiling face who invited us in! She was a less-active! We
had a wonderful lesson with her, we're working with her now to help her to come to church,
and we're planning on visiting her this week with the Relief Society President. =) God loves her.
He loves her so much, and He never forgets about His lost sheep. I testify that that is true. I have
seen it time and time again on my mission. God loves and is aware of every one of His children.
I promise you. I'm sure of it. He loves
. Please, all of you, allow yourselves to be found. He is
always there, with His arms wide open, waiting for us to come to ourselves. I testify of this love,
in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
And the Women's Conference was wonderful. Please watch it if you haven't already. I sure love
you all. Enjoy your week.
p.s. Here's a picture of my daughter and me.
