October 24, 2016 El Bautismo y el programa de la Primaria!
Guys! This week was the bomb-diggety! On Saturday, María Dolores was baptised, and on Sunday
she was confirmed a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. =) She was super
ready, and she (and we) couldn't be happier. She even invited her sister to come to the baptism,
AND SHE CAME! So, we'll see where that goes! She'd come earlier with her boys, and they were
helping us to clean up the church in preparation. Watching the font fill up, they'd ask me if they
could go in, and I told them, "not yet". "When can we go in then?" "...in like, 6 months". (They're
fraternal twins, who will be turning 8 in about 6 months haha #plantingseeds)
At one point they were talking with a sister, and she asked them if they had any sisters, or if they
were just them two, and Angel (one of the two) turned to her and said "Just Sister Soto and Sister
Larsen". We died. It was adorable. These two boys have been growing so much thanks to their
mom's obedience. They've never had to sit down and be reverent before in their lives, no one's
taught them about how to pray, and they are just learning so much. They sang in the Primary
Program for their first time this last week for their FIRST TIME! And they did so great! The whole
ward did! Hna. Soto got to play the piano, and I lead the music, and we LOVED it! These kids are
amazing examples to us. We sure love them. =)
Yesterday and today we've had practices for a choir that we're putting together for our upcoming
zone Conference. We're singing Lead Kindly Light and Let Us All Press On, but with the latter, we're
singing the arrangement that MoTab just sang in the last Conference. IT IS AWESOME. =D I love
music! And what it does for us and how it can act as a conductor for the Spirit! And yesterday, Hna.
Soto and I had to do divisions, because the rehearsal and a stake missionary activity meeting were
at the SAME TIME, but in two different stake centers! So sadly, we parted with other missionaries as
our temporary companions, and when I got back with her, she had gotten sick. =( She was sick last
night, but slept okay. She'd asked for a blessing from the Elders at the church, and, as promised in
her blessing, she was able to get done all the she's needed to so far today. She's doing great. She
just gets some funny stomach feelings sometimes now, but she's doing a lot better! I testify of the
power of Priesthood blessings! And of faith!
Sure love you all! Happy week!
She's María Dolores. The man is the Bishop here in Los Reyes, the two boys in the green jackets are her twins, and the other little one is her nephew. There're the sweetest. =)
