fotos de la semana

Here is me on divisions with Hna. Gomez. She's from Texas. She was in the Airforce. And she is AWESOME! Because of her, I'm seriously considering joining the military.

Then Hna. Garcia and I with Hna. Sarahi (a member here in the Ward. She says hi). Today she showed us how to make some of her truffles which are HEAVENLY!!!

The next pictures are from today. We went and played basketball with some other missionaries and with some investigators and members. It was fun!

COSTCO!!!

I just sent some photos, but SOOOME of which, show one of the biggest temporal highlights of my mision! Dun dun dun DUN!!!

TODAY I WENT TO COSTCO!!!

The FIRST time in more than 15 months, and it felt just like coming home. =) Kirkland logos everywhere, people buying things at super good prices in BULK, I loved every second. =) The very sweet Buenrostro family took us today. Sure love them!

Also, something pretty cool that happened this week, I got a new calling! ...as a DISTRICT LEADER.

... yeah, no. I super thought it was apostacy too. And technically my title is not "District Leader"... but my zone leader told me that I have ALL the functions of a District Leader, except that I don't do divisions with anyone. So... That was crazy. I gave my first class in our weekly meeting this last Tuesday on faith and obedience, and I planned my first district service project where we helped Maria Dolores sew some bags. So it's going well so far!

Later, we had a stake activity this Saturday called viaje Hawaii! And it was really fun! But I have 0 time to tell you about it because the internet is closing early for a holiday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Happy late birthday Grandma Lois Jean!

Love,

Hna. Larsen

Cambios para la navidad
Changes for Christmas

Hello Framily! We had changes today! Nobody expected what was coming! We were all so so sure that I was going to leave, but Saturday night, the phone call came, and the Zone Leaders let us know that Hna. Soto was going to be leaving and that I was going to stay here with Hna. Garcia. So, I have a new companion! Her name's Hna. Garcia, she's from Hidalgo, México, which is like... 2,3  hours from where we're at right now. She seems really nice, and that she has a great spirit. I'm excited for this new change! I'm excited for Christmas! I'm SOOO excited for the movement that the Church is doing to help spread the Christmas message here, and it's just a great time of the year. This week, we're going to have a stake missionary activity called "Trip to Hawaii" and I'll be sure to let you know how that goes! I'm short on time, but I want to share with you my testimony of the Spirit. I know He's real. He really does testify to us, if we let Him. Something interesting that I learned in my scripture studies this week from Alma 32 is that we will have our faith grow, if we let it grow! If we don't toss it out! So let the Spirit work miracles in you! Let Him help your faith grow! If we let Him, and we're working on it, our planted seed of faith in Christ, which is a good seed, will grow. I share this in the name of Jesús Chris, amen.

Sure love you all! I still haven't figured out my new camera, so... when I do, there'll be more pictures!

La Conferencia de Estaca y el Bautismo de Gabi!

This week was NUTS! But SUPER awesome!

On Friday, Gaby had her baptismal interview and we had our English and Piano classes. We told them and the Elder who was going to give the interview to come at 4:30, because the classes start at 5, and we waited and waited... and we were so worried! Her baptism was scheduled for the next day! And you CANNOT baptize someone who hasn't passed an interview! We said some prayers, and started to teach the classes, then, they all came! We had the people in the class do a test so we could sneak out and get them ready for the interview, sent them into the interview, and ran back to the class. Afterwards, we found out that she'd passed! She did great! We were thrilled for her! We finished the classes, and then the next day we went to the church early to clean and fill up the baptismal font. And the baptism went GREAT! Everyone got there a little bit early, all the members who had agreed to participate were there and just took over. It was WONDERFUL! We LOVE that as missionaries! This family is reactivating (the family that Gaby belongs to). And we are sure that one of the reasons they ever fell away was because they only had built up a relationship with the missionaries, so when the missionaries left (as we ALWAYS do and will!) they had no support and it was very hard for them! So a goal we've had is to help them have a good support system here with the ward and we believe that that's what's happened! This sweet ward has just been taking the new investigators under their wings. It's so sweet to watch! That night and on Sunday we had our stake Conference! The whole Saturday Session was dedicated to.... MISSIONARY WORK! President came and spoke and it was AWESOME! We, as missionaries, ALSO love to see that! Missionary-themed meetings! Yay!

This week, we were ALL out of money, and food, (We thought we were getting paid this week, and not last week, so we never pulled out the money that was already in our account a week ago) and a tender mercy that'd happened was that the stake president had lunches prepared for the missionaries for after the Conference, so we had dinner for that night, and breakfast for the next day. THE LORD WATCHES OUT FOR HIS MISSIONARIES! All missionary-moms can breathe easy! haha

Sure love you all! Happy week!
