Christmas week

Hello and Happy Day after Christmas, everyone! I hope you all were able to enjoy it with your families! Christmas week is always SO special to me, in the misión it's special too, but a Little difficult, because the work moves a Little slower during vacations. Actually, we were ordered NOT to proselyte (spelling is out the window at this point, sorry, I have no idea how to spell that one. proselite? proseleight?) the 24th or the 25th. ! Which for me was CRAZY. But it's because, really, here in Mexico, there are a LOT of parties, lots of drinking that happens, and the 24th they stay up until about 1 or 2 in the morning partying, so all day the 25th, they want to sleep, and they don't really like two girls knocking on their doors. So, we had permission to watch a movie as a zone, do a present inter-change, and the eat with the members. Oh, and to talk with our families. ;) So that's what we did! (NEVER HAVE A FELT SO LAZY IN ALL MY MISSION LIFE EVER!!!)

As a zone, we watched 'Un Gran Dinosaurio' (a great dinosaur?) and I only cried a Little bit. ;) We also had our Christmas dinner in President's house. It was so much fun! Hna. Garcia and I got to be in charge of an hour and a half of games, and it went really well!

My highlights of the were two, ONE, President accompanied us for a lesson, but on the way, we found a man and his daughter walking on the sidewalk, and they asked us, while we were in President's car, where a city was. Turns out, the city was far far away, and they had been mugged and robbed and had been walking for over an hour to get to a train station, to try to get home to a DIFFERENT STATE. Let me just say that our President is SUCH a good example of charity and service, I was hesitant to know if they were telling the truth or not, and I gave the daughter some outerwear that I had, seeing as she was shivering, and my companion gave them some pamphlets on the Plan of Salvation and the Restauración of the Gospel, and President payed for an UBER (safer type of taxi) and for their train tickets home. They were SO touched, that they promised President to look up the missionaries there where they're from. And, seeing as the man is a salesman of electronic goods, offered President a flat screen. haha he turned it down, but later, during the Christmas dinner that we had at President's, he received a phone call, and it was that man! Saying that he and his daughter had read the pamphlet's and that they had brought him a lot of peace, and that they were going to look for the missionaries! (still). ! What a neat Christmas treat that was for us.

NEVER DOUBT A CHARITABLE THOUGHT!

And the second was talking with my family. =) I sure love them. How blessed I am to have each one of them in my life. =)

Love you all! Happy new year!

What a week!

Well, we're busy preparing for Christmas here in México, and trying to "Illuminar el Mundo" with the cute Christmas pass-along cards that they've given us. Today was the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe... (I'm not really sure who she is, but she's like a Latin Virgin Mary that everyone has alters of here), so that was fun. We're preparing for the Ward Christmas party this coming Saturday, and it's chilly at nights and baking at mid-day! haha gotta love the misión. Thanks to some very thoughtful and loving people in my life I had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday on Wednesday in a very special way. I sure am grateful for these sweet people here in Mexico. =) Also! We have a new investigator, Laura, who came to church for the first time yesterday! She brought her 5 year-old daughter Alin, and Alin LOVED IT. It was really great to see this step towards Christ that they made for the first time this week! Wahoo!

Sure love you! Here are some pictures:

They both slammed their thumbs in the car door. The Apple doesn't fall too far from the tree I suppose. ;)
